Thanks Dan!
Yeah the curved horizon was intended when I sketched out the back ground. But then I didn't draw the creatures in the same perspective so now it looks weird. I'll get rid of the curves.
You're right, I was just trying to make it look massive, imposing, and cool. I didn't really think about the neck structure. Now my beast can drink, haha. Maybe it has a straw like tongue, or maybe they can just suck out all the moisture from the plants they eat.

Damn it! I wrote a whole long thing about this painting, but Devart hiccuped and I lost the whole thing. Okay, what did I say?
I like this creature the best of all the rest I've seen on your gallery. It's cool---it's got a good sillouette from any angle, as you've shown in your picture. The shoulder spikes are impressive looking, and also satisfyingly alien. One thing though, unless these things have extra joints in their heads or proboscuises or something that curving horn would get in the way of feeding. Also I'm not sure, but the back legs look a little skinny for such a giant animal. Unless these things come from a low-grav planet or they're filled with hydrogen or something.

As for the pic itself: I am a big fan of the scribbly lines defining the form, so yay for that. I'm actually not sure it would look better with color---I really like the black and white. These things look massive, too. More than I can manage with my dinosaurs, anyway. The one problem I have with the composition is the curving up at the edges of the picture. I suppose an upcurving horizon line would make more of a feeling of massive-ness for these animals, but as it is I can't tell whether you intended those curves to be an optical thing or mountains. But the animals themselves: awesome. And I like the little human/megabeast size comparison at the bottom of the picture.

Are these bad boys carnivorous?

Actually it's a plant-eater.

Just checking...
I remember reading about how recent evidence suggests that Megatherium may have had carnivorous tendencies.

Interesting, maybe they need extra protein.

Undoubtedly.
Apparently, there was the remains of a car-sized Glyptodon found in Argentina, in that, it died either soon after, or right before something flipped it over. Megatherium was suspected of being the culprit.
