It's actually a lot simpler than it seems! You can either put a commission widget on your page (that way you can see who sent the payment) or you can put a purchase widget right here on the deviation (though you cant see who's paid that way). Whenever someone pays you it goes straight to your earnings page (which you can see if you hover over "shop" up at the top of the page) usually as $1=100.

It takes two weeks for the conversion to happen, but once the wait is over, you can just click on "withdraw to paypal" and it will go right into your paypal account, no strings attached! The only thing is that since you aren't a core member, they take out a $1 processing fee each time you withdraw.

Tbh it makes me a little more comfortable selling adoptable that way because I know people can't issue me any chargebacks (that scares the bejeebers out of me for some reason)

Oh wow thank you for the explanation, it's super helpful! It certainly seems a lot simpler than I expected haha, I'll definitely consider accepting points in the future as well *v*

aaahh yea the chargeback thing seems to be an issue going round otl, though I've heard of people that have had their points deducted and returned tbefore? It's kinda scary to think there's no truly safe method for the seller ugh ;;;; The best thing to do seems to be to write terms and just try to protect yourself best as possible ;^;

I've never heard about the points thing, that seems kinda weird. You're totally right about the terms though.

Gee D: Thanks for linking that! I'll have to type out a ToS journal soon for commissions and adopts since I do them ALL the time. Y'know, and just hope that I never have to deal with chargebacks cause it really must suck.

No worries, hope you find it helpful! And yea writing some ToS journals, even if simple, is probably a great idea~
I get pretty worried about having to deal with chargebacks too, considering the frequency of it happening these days ;;; Hence why I changed to using the invoice system since I started adopts. I think every precaution helps, better safe than sorry after all ;v;
