I wanted to use him so bad, but knew that he'll be just like Ness (whom I'm terrible with). It took a lot of practice and now I can use Lucas just fine.

Lucas is one of my favorite characters. I hate his recovery, but when I can nail someone with his up-smash, it's worth it to use him. And PK thunder is great for harassing distant foes, even if it's not a great recovery.

I'd recommend you play EarthBound, it's pretty good.
