My view of Dumbledore after watching the movie GoF.Kinda clear I'm not a big fan of him. lol

He never used Harry like I said he loved Harry, He only wanted to protect him and lead him in the right direction, It was either Dumbldore helped him with the prophecy or left him alone to die. Without Dumbledore Harry would have died. Dumbldore made a few mistakes in his YOUTH but doesn't everyone.

I know this is a year and some months late, but the reason he didn't tell Harry sooner was because he wanted him to have a normal childhood (he didn't plan on those events happening) while he could. He wanted to tell him, but it broke his heart to take away his innocence (what was left of it) so couldn't bring himself to do it. Is he a bit selfish and impractical, yes, but he wasn't manipulating Harry. The "raising him like a pig for slaughter." scenes where sort of taken out of context. Dumbledore wanted to save an entire society, but Snape just wanted to protect his love's child, him dying sort of puts a damper on that wish. People in power to change the world usually must make hard, and even terrible decisions. Harry having to die was one such decision, but he loved him and didn't want him to suffer more than needed.

This is so true! Though he ultimately used Harry, I love Dumbledore immensely, especially because he was portrayed as actually having flaws.It made him so much more human and relate-able.
