No, I'm not kidding. I guess it's because the only ferret I have ever came in contact with was very mean. When I was younger, my friend and I went to this house, and it was in it's cage. It snapped as us like he wanted to bite us. He was a very aggressive ferret. No joke. The owners even said you didn't want to go near the cage. Been a little afraid of ferrets ever since.
I'm sure there may be ferrets out there that are very lovable, but I haven't ventured to find out since that one.

I understand your point, but one shouldn't generalize from one bad experience. It makes me sad that you have had a bad experience with this ferret. And I am sorry about this, for you and for the ferret too. If he was aggressive, it is certainly for one or more good reasons : neglected, abused, ill, caged all the time ... Ferrets are by nature very sociable and dependent and curious.
I was injured when I was 5-6 years old by a cat. I was brought to the doctor and I needed tetanus injection and other things ... But not all cats are dangerous, bad or mean.
Until today I have shared my life with 8 ferrets, and have meet numerous ferrets friends
I will not change your mind, it is not my goal and only a ferret will be able to do it.
I hope one day you will have the chance to meet a gentle ferret soul and that you will have the most magical experience ever.

Aw, that is so sweet. That's a great photograph. Yes, the ferret I encountered may have been neglected or caged all of the time.That possibly could be why it was aggressive. Honestly, I thought that was just how ferrets were since it was the only one I ever had seen. I didn't think they were gentle at all, and most everyone I know have dogs or cats but no ferrets. So, I've never been around one since.
I will try to be more openminded about ferrets now. I'll have to see if I can find somewhere they may have them, so I can try again with these creatures. You guys seem very passionate about them. That says a lot.
