The second princess!I love that the last few seasons made the two sisterly characters instead of ethereal rulers.

Were the royal sisters ever presented as ethereal rulers? Since we saw Princess Celestia in season one for the first time, she felt reasonably grounded to me but it's true we had little in the way of sisterly bond between her Luna. I suppose they both had to use all the time over 6 seasons or so to readjust.

Perhaps not ethereal, though their hair made me think of the word first, but in the first seasons they were a bit stiff and serious (except for the Luna halloween episode of course)

I don't know. Celestia did come off as revered and serious but also as kinda playful. You know, with how she actually enjoyed The Grand Galloping Gala going tits up because it's nothing but formal boring celebration. Granted, she never had an episode which focused on her or her relationship with Luna.
