to anyone who considers it racist; It would be racist if it were mocking or holding a specific prejudice against a single given race. However, this is not the case. The gems are just portrayed by which race or specific human appearance suits their design best.

wow there are a lot of negative comments on this picture I just want to say I think the picture itself is alright although I think lapis face is far to long and pearl skin could be toned back a little other then that I really like the design of pearl and lapis outfits the most and I hope you do yellow diamond when she is introduced.

Nothing is wrong with it though. Pearl is pretty yellow in the show and you can't really dig on the eyes because, if you look closely, all of them have slanted eyes in some way. It's an art style.

You forget, these versions are coming from a show with humanoid space rocks that have an entire literal rainbow of skin tones and hues. Creative freedoms will be taken for an artist to make their interpretations of what these characters would look like if they were human. It's fan art and anyone can interpret their muses as they wish.
Also, yes, Pearl is yellow in the show. I just checked. Her skin in hexcode is #ffffed which is under the color yellow. "Cream" is yellow in color so we're both right. She's yellow. Zamii making her a more defined yellow to fit the theme of the art (Humanized Gems) is still correct because Pearl's skin is that color.
She just took creative liberties to show off that aspect of Pearl's character just like she did with Peridot. Never seen her drawn Arabic before, but since she doesn't have a confirmed race in the show (like Garnet is confirmed black) anyone can draw her in any way shape or form to fit their interpretations of her.
Lapis, in my opinion, could be a little darker in tone but that's just my interpretation of what Lapis "should" look like if she were human.
Did Zamii ever say that her Human!Pearl was Asian by chance? Or are you just going off how she looks in the picture?

I hate to be the one to tell you this but people of Asian descent have almond shaped eyes and their skin tends to be tinted yellow. (As do other races. I'm half white half Mexican and my skins more on the yellow side.)
I know you tumblrites love to take potshots at people's looks and artwork when you have a beef with them but this is silly. You're part of the reason people hate tumblr AND Steven Universe.

A bit dated, but still works in terms of comparing and contrasting different types of asian people. And as you can see - none of the skin tones are even remotely yellow. If you google "asian faces" you will see though they may appear to be yellow at face value, if you eyedrop the skin color it's usually closer to brown than yellow. and i'm assuming if you're using a color that brilliant and yellow for your own skin I'm assuming you have either a very heavy filter on the images you're color picking from or you haven't eyedropped it at all - i can guarantee you if you did, you'd be seeing a very different color. c: of course a digital program isn't going to be 100% accurate but it's a lot better to show at least some effort than to just pick the closest color you think it works.
