Description
Bentley Wittman was a childhood prodigy, becoming a chess champion at a young age and growing up to become a renowned engineer. Bored of his unchallenging life and jealous of the adulation earned by superheroes such as the Fantastic Four, Bentley decided to put his inventions to use as a supervillain. Using his anti-gravity tech to fly and equipping himself with an array of weapons, he took on the identity of the Wingless Wizard. Though his efforts to defeat the Fantastic Four were in vain, his failures only strengthened his obsession with destroying the group. He formed his own team to better match his foes, recruiting fellow villains Paste Pot Pete and Sandman as well as tricking the amnesiac Inhuman Queen Medusa into forming his Frightful Four. Wizard has repeatedly reformed the Frightful Four over the years, recruiting villains such as Hydro Man and Titania to fill the ranks.
