This is not a new picture. I wasn't going to put it here, but eh, why not. My DA has been getting neglected lately.Related content

Where do you upload if not here?
Very cool picture, the simplistic monochrome background really draws the eye to the figures, and I love the thing on the wall, it's so neat looking. It has a really organic feel to it while still seeming really mechanical somehow. Neat!

Amazing work. I love the colours you use, the subtle blue and green in the spines work so well with the background.

LOL, a door bell? It would certainly do a good job of keeping away unwanted visitors.

some of my favorite things biomechanics ( the wall thingy) and hornnnnsss.
coloring is fantastic as always, however I feel like there isn't as much tension in the left figures pose as there should be. hmmmm

The details are really nice, and I like the background and sky. The creature on the wall looks like something out of Half-Life.

Thanks! Ooh really? I haven't seen much from Half Life, but the few creatures and things I've seen have been very interesting looking.

Hmm, I wonder if you went to Google --> Images and typed in "Half Life concept art" if you'd get a lot of original designs. When I bought Half-Life 2, I picked up "Raising The Bar" which pretty much tells the entire story, from how Valve got started, through Half-Life, and all of the other games leading up to HL2. Lots of WIP stuff, things that were removed from the game, and concept sketches.

Ahh, I can see why you'd have confused them Their manes in particular look quite similar. I didn't realise that before, so thank you for bringing it to my attention.
I also thought I was watching Silverfyre >> Apparently I fail.

I hope to see more of your art again, you've been dead a long time.
Then again, I'm not one to talk. I guess we both need to work on that.

No, you haven't uploaded anything in a long while. Submit more!
I draw a lot more than I show on Deviantart. I usually keep my DA gallery to show artwork that I'm reasonably happy with, but seeing that I don't really like anything I do anymore, I may as well upload whatever I do. I guess.

rajewel In reply to zarathus [2008-05-15 06:19:13 +0000 UTC]
You and me both. I just find my stuff boring and repetitive. Unfortunately, work with new subject matter comes out too embarrassing to post xD. Its sort of lead to a vicious cycle where I don't really draw much anymore.
I don't know if you have this, but the stuff I've done that I like the most gets the most negative response and often the stuff I like the least gets the most positive. That really screws with your head.

zarathus In reply to rajewel [2008-05-15 06:57:41 +0000 UTC]
Oh man, I can completely relate. There are certain themes I feel I use far too much and get repetitive, and most of everything else I do turns out looking... average
But from looking at others' galleries, repetitive themes isn't necessarily a bad thing. Many people I'll watch especially for the themes they use frequently in their work, rather than the variety they're capable of.
And I do get that too. For example, my Ouroboros picture, which I considered not uploading because I thought it sucked, has gotten far more attention than anything else I've done. Its weird how things work like that >>

rajewel In reply to zarathus [2008-05-15 08:40:51 +0000 UTC]
I know what you mean on the themes too, I have a few people I watch for the stuff they normally draw too. Its just a case I can't seem to put up with myself when I try to draw stuff. Yay for hypocricy.
Your Ouroboros picture was really creatively rendered though, I actually remember when I saw that one the first time. I also really like your picture with the purple and grey dragon crawling/against that rock cliff, I loved the wing texture.
I get the best response on my really old stuff, and art I do out of obligation for real life people. I tend to avoid using my style on that stuff so it ends up being boring animal art xD. I drew chickens for someone once (it ended up being a good guess though, their whole house was full of chicken related stuff, I kid you not. Even the back splash of the stove had chicken print >_>.
