And here it is, the very latest for Mario Monsters! No later than a few weeks after I submitted it as well. We really do seem to be getting back into the swing of things. First of all, this is my first deviation posted that uses manga studio for lineart instead of photoshop (although everything else is still done there). It may not be noticeable yet, but trust me, you'll notice a big difference in future deviations.

This is Big Bully, an enemy unique to Super Mario 64 (and it's DS counterpart, of course). Bullies are perhaps the first of their kind in video gaming, an enemy in a 3D enviornment that is not killed by causing repeated damage to it, but by shoving it off the edge of a platform, usually into a hazard such as lava or freezing water (in this case, the former). This sort of Bully inhabits leathal lava land, a world whose nature can be implied by it's title alone (as can most mario 64 levels, actually). There are smaller bullies which require less effort to kill, but this is version takes on more of a "boss" role, as you get a star for defeating it. There are actually several "Big Bullies", all of which require a decent amount of effort to reach, and all relenquish a star. The Big Bully in the picture has the design for the super mario 64 DS version of Big bully, which is not shared by the smaller bullies.

I have no idea what the background is supposed to be. i was trying to make my usual color blob/swirl with laval colors, and decided to mess around with it. I just thought this was too good not to use. On a side note, i originally called the lethal lava land bullies "Bomb Bulls", since they look like bomb-ombs with horns.
