I have to say that I like mery Gaster A LOT more than the original cruel Handplates Gaster... altho I would like to see a continuation like what has Sans machine in his workshop acctually to do with Gaster? I mean the common speculation is that he tries to bring him back but why would he if he hated him? (just questions I throw in the room I really like your work it's amazing)

Sans cares about Papyrus more than anybody else, and Papyrus cares about Gaster.
I'm not sure if that would be enough to make him want to bring Gaster back, but do you want the explanation or not.

Many reasons. He is vital to the well being of Papyrus. He could easily be used to threaten Papyrus. He may still be useful in his plans if he does not get damaged beyond repair. Many reasons that benefit him in the long run.

sorry but I do not understand how this answers my question.... I mean I meant: If Sans and Papyrus in the original Handplates hate Gaster so much, why wold Sans have the Machine in his workshop trying to fix it? and It has to be something good to fix it since Toby sayed himself "The Machine is not repaired and Asriel still is left behind but you can't get a better ending than this". That's what really bugs me in that time line really (I still love it don't get me wrong)

Ah, sorry, I misread it! It has never been confirmed thats what the machine does. Perhaps it is, although it doesn't seem to be the case at all in my opinion.

I for one think Sans tries to bring him back but we will have to speculate untill Toby says something. In any way I like all the teories about him so whats your guess?

I can't say I've ever believed in Gaster. I personally see it as more of a curiosity project. I can relate to Sans in many ways, and one thing I know about him is he is definitely very smart, and somewhat enjoys puzzles. I don't know many people like him who wouldn't pick up a project about curiosity. He found it, and decided to try fixing it up. Although, his lazy attitude prevents him from really getting anywhere. I'm just like that. I can't even name all the projects I've started just because I was curious. For ether puzzles sake or just plain curiosity.
