I'm starting to think that if an Undertale AU ends in "plates" that it's not a happy one =/ On the bright side, this might be a good way for Sans and/or Papyrus to get Gaster to open up to them about...well everything, if such a thing is possible at all. He already failed, what else does he have to lose? And if he's really giving up, then I doubt he'd care about being vague or keeping anything from them. It's not like they'd be able to do anything about it, riiiiiiiiiiiiight? x3

I still like this variant. Because let's face it. Nothing magically fixes itself. Nope. But at least there's HOPE here. Gaster still had a chance for redemption. Frisk could still fall and prove to them all the pacifists can win.Β

I feel like sans in mercyplates would never trust Gaster.
Why does Gaster act like that about Asgore, if Asgore absorbs the souls does he think he will stop being Asgore, or does he think he will just die like sans does inΒ It's always too soon ?
