this brings to the forefront something i've been thinking about; the skelebros really didn't need any nouns besides 'him' and 'you' since there were only ever 2 other entities in their world. there is the word 'brother' which is important to them because it illustrates their connection as well as the other being pretty much their whole world, and now not only do they have the word 'son' to connect them to gaster however they decide to interpret that, they've now been introduced to the concept of a name and being the clever little skeletons they are will be able to glean all that entails like identity, history, individuality etc.
there's so much that could happen from that. there's the reintroduction to the concept of 1s and 2p being labels instead of names as part of the skelebros being treated as things, there's the potential that they'll try to make their own names, and then there's tons of ways sans could weaponize their chosen names to try and hurt gaster or simply to give him some sense of control back.
this is supposed to be a silly fun page why are there so many serious implications.

Nah, I think that Sans is smart enough to realize that that definition of the word doesn't fit with the context that the goop monster was using it & would call Gaster out on it. Especially because it was using the word to reference him & his brother. Papy might be willing to swallow that bull simply by virtue of faith, but I can't see our skeletal comedian letting it slide.
