so a friend of mine on facebook wanted to know how to make that space thingy i just posted on my gallery, so i made this step by step picture thingy on how i did it. hopefully you guys can do it too ~ its easy and fun*sorry for my english ==

Hmm, salt, eh? I would have never thought salt would be used in that manner. What effect does it actually add to the art though? It's kind of hard to tell from the picture. Is it a texture effect? Does it change the color variation since it absorbs water?

As the salt absorbs the water it leaves an interesting texture, I can't really explain it, but you can see from the examples.

I think I get it now. That really is a nice effect that it provides. I wonder who first thought of doing that. Maybe they were painting and eating some lunch at the same time and spilled some salt. Then they thought it looked cool or something. lol
