Description
*Warning* SPOILERSI adored the movie "How to Train Your Dragon," and was excited to see it when I first heard the title!
I was, for the most part, pleasantly surprised and intrigued by the plot, except for one part. This is a little scene I think is missing from the movie. Did anyone else notice when the young vikings are all picking their dragons to ride in a rush to save the adults that the dragons matched their owners? Ruffnut does!
The really funny part of drawing this was I could instantly picture Ruffnut getting all crazy excited to pick a dragon, only to have everyone else beat her to it.
"I get the pretty one"--ouch Astrid! A little female rivalry there? Maybe you think this is out of character for Astrid, but I think if she wanted something bad enough, she'd go for it and she wouldn't care what anybody thought.
Snotlout is just standing there staring after her thinking 'what a girl!' His reaction time's a little slow.
"Then I get the one with the big mouth..." (Yeah, I know what everyone else is thinking.
Hey, wasn't there also a Terrible Terror in the cages? I think that's really the one Fish legs would go for first.
And of COURSE the twins get the two headed dragon. Duh. How...predictable?
The really funny thing about drawing this for me was, I could picture all this in my head, including the panning camera angles. Ruff was all super furious and growling and breathing hard, and then in my head I thought "well, but what has Tuff been doing this whole time? I guess he wasn't paying attention, but what IS he doing?" And at the same time Ruff turns to yell at her brother, the picture presented itself in my head.
---Tuff is picking his nose---
Just at that minute, my mom asked me a question, and I couldn't answer, I was laughing so hard.
~maybe I should colour this, but I'm too tired.

Needless to say this is hilarious, but what I love most is Tuff's facial expression in the last panal its spot on fuggly.

Haven't heard the word "fuggly" in so long--and it's so appropriate here. Nice.

I asked if this made her laugh, and she said:
Yes it did! Sorry I didn't leave a comment though xD It's so true though, they definately based their dragons on the characters :3

:sigh: So many people but so few comment! So I go to their pages and ask "what did you like about it?" And of course they reply on their pages, not here. So I'm copying and pasting the comments so I remember what they say.
Here's what I've got so far:
Yeah, I really like how you drew the facial expressions.
It didn't just make me smile.

I'm just happy for a comment!
Ah, but the movie wouldn't be the same without them. They're memorable side characters, and actual characters, not just background characatures.
I'm so glad I could make you smile.

It wasn't intentional originally, but it turned out to be a good pick in the end. The comic reached new depths. Who nose how far it will go?
So sorry, puns are my specialty.
Thanks so much for the comment! Cookie for you.
