Eeek! This is a WORK IN PROGRESS and looks pretty BAD. It looks like Lucas has the mumps! I intend to fix this.

Here I show the first stage of my newest painting (Richard Armitage as Lucas North of BBC's "Spooks") compared to the reference photo I'm using.

The painting is in oils, 5x7 inches, on Ampersand Gessobord. I started painting (freehand of course) and in about two hours, this is what I got. There are a lot of problems but I see what I need to fix and I think I can get the likeness better during the next painting session.
