Description
This was a piece that I had wanted to work on for a long time. The original sketch was done on very small sheet of paper (much like all of the Megaman characters used in [link] ) and then scanned before finally receiving full lineart and coloring treatments in Adobe Illustrator.I took some artistic license with Ness (the eyes and hairstyle in particular) and decided to give him actual sclerae (the white part of the eyes).
The background, shadow, signature, and shoelaces were all done in Adobe Photoshop.

I do think I love Illustrator for coloring and shading now.
I'm trying to decide just what piece I want to work on next. I have an idea but it's going to take a bit longer than this one...

You're so lucky that you're good at Illustrator >n< I've only got 3 things out of Illustrator that I liked, and all of those are in my gallery. THE PEN TOOL IS SCURRY, SIRS AND MADAMES.
I'm glad you went with a Mother-related picture. There hasn't been enough love for that series recently :/ 'Tis a shame.

Yup. Got the picture scanned and ready to go.
I drew it ENTIRELY without reference, so I'll need to fix some things up in Illustrator when I lineart it.
I'll just say that it's not one of the good guys.
