XD not fluent in Japanese, but i can hold a very small conversation and pick up on words, i only took a year of it.

XD sounds great. Being able to hold small conversations is better than just standing infront of someone and having no clue what they are saying. The hardest part about Japanese is listening, because they speak pretty fast and it is hard to hear them out.
