Exiting VR interface...The room around you looks dusty and totally clutterd like a bomb has gone off you can't resist a cough, though it's difficult to do so. In fact impossible, until you realize you are still bathed in a fluid capsule. However it's severely cracked and you can feel the pull of highly viscous oxygen rich fluid exiting the capsule in gulps, tugging at your skin and around your ankles.
You also remember that somehow you were infected by a mysterious woman through the VR interface. You were able to change things in the real world and in the memories of people. And you were changing yourself.
You notice that you have grown a long cord out of your bellybutton, which currently goes to the base of the capsule and seems to be supplying you with nutrients. You notice that somehow in your VR stasis you have severed the original, plastic cord with your powers. Also the room is totally destroyed around you.
What do you do?
P.S. In chapter 1, basically you were infected, got access to telekinesis and some basic shapeshifting abilities and it's affect your body in the real world somehow. enjoy.

Indeed he had changed. He looked exactly like one of the subjects he had spoken with in VR on ceres. She had asked him to cover for her while the others were looking for her. Unfortunately she did not survive. But while disguised as her, he had bought her just a little extra time to save a few more lives. That was history now.

You notice that just by concentrating on it long enough, your hair began to go back to normal length, your breasts began to shrink, and your groin began to return to normal, besides looking like yourself again. It gave you a small headache though. You could feel your body beginning to respond.

"I'm back to normal, well technically though I guess I should stay disguised as her to help her" *I focus on being disguised as her again*

( She's not where you are. she and the planet you visited in the VR are in a black hole like bubble-- trapped for now. She could be dead)

As you do, you get a splitting headache and you black out. When you wake up, you are yourself, only as if you were born female. You also seem to have a strange gooey sensation on your rearend. You seem to have a small little boney, slimey tail. like the size of a puppy-dog's tail.

It feels like it would have belonged to some large squishy insect, or maybe a fish. But it's shape is basically a tentacle with bone inside. It has a spiky, rubbery skin and you can move it a little. The skin around it is discolored and purplish.

*I put on the lab coat hoping that would hide it for now as I head outside*

As you walk out, you see that it is night time and the island appears to be deserted. You can remember coming here now, how you were trained to go under the VR and visit the other planet virtually. You notice there are ships in the harbor down in town, but it's a long walk down there. THere are vehicles nearby.

*I decide to go by the vehicles to see if they work so I can get to the harbor faster*

They work well. You are on your way quickly. When you get to town, you see there are lots of people just walking around, doing what people do. No one seems to be alarmed about the abandoned lab up on the hill. You notice an emergency helicopter landing and men getting out. They are helping men in lab coats lift another into the helicopter.

*I head over to the helicopter hoping to get on*

The men in the helicopter look at you. "what's the matter, miss?" one of them notices you aren't wearing any clothes, "look we need to go, can you explain your situation to these men?" the pilot is waving at the men to hurry up.

*I try to explain the situation the best I can as I blush from explaining it all*

The men look at you like you are crazy. But then the ones in lab coats look shocked and grab you, "you are awake!! you came all the way down here?" "Look we need to go. are you in the helicopter or not?" asks the guy. The scientists shake their heads, "HE needs treatment here. send VR treatment to the island. we can't let this get out to the rest of the planet or there will be hysteria"

The helicopter guys get back in and fly away while the scientists scour the streets for you. One of them runs nearby you and stops, looking around where you are hiding.

*I try to shape shift into a small animal to sneak past him*

As you do so you notice that your headache comes back in full force and the ground seems to fill up with static. He makes note of it, "interesting" just before you suddenly shrivel, sending juices everywhere and leaving behind a slimy, but crusted husk of yourself. You are now a rat...but you have a nasty looking, long spiky tail with two joints on it. It looks like an insect leg almost.

There are grates into sewer system. Also doorways with gaps under them. And there's a rain gutter that is easy to climb to go up.

You immediately can smell the odors of the sewer. You see there is only along the shore or south along the shore. There are smaller tubes that seem to empty from further up the mountain on this island.

You find that the tube has branches all along the way, seemingly to go up into buildings.

*I keep going to I reach a location where I am safe to transform back into a human*

(what kind of location are you looking for? a large open part of the sewer with a ladder to climb out? a house? maybe a part of the woods near a drain where you won't be seen?)

You slip out of the sewers and it's very cluttered with branches and no one could see you if you turned back. In fact it's unlikely that there would be anyone around for a mile or so. But down the hill is a vilalge.

*I focus on turning into at least a hybrid of my rat form and my female form since nobody could see me and it might be less strainful on me*

You shift and it is indeed less straining. You notice your tail seems fatter at the base than before, and even slimier.

You can see yourself in perfect clarity. Your face is very rat-like, but you have some human hair. Your body is very human except for your legs and hips, which make you crouch. Your hands and feet are pawed but still you can grip things with your hands. Your tail looks like an eye-sore. but it did before already.

As you slink into the village, you notice that there are people coming and going, doing their day-to-day work. No one has noticed you yet.

*I go and look for a building that seems abandoned to use as my house*

THere is one on the outside of town, up the hill a little. It looks like it ws used as a barn for some kind of herb you're not familiar with.

*I head over there as I make it there undetected as I check out the barn*

It seems safe. It's got a few rats, other than yourself.

*I then make myself full human again as I need to gather some materials for a bed, a container for food, and a source of water*

You do so, leaving a piercing headache. There are also little crusts of dust on the ground where you were standing when you transformed. Some kind of crystal dust.

*I take a closer look at the dust to see what kind of crystal it is*

It's not clear what kind it is. But it has an eerie purple glow.
