Description
You decided to take a class at the new school that popped up in the woods.Upon arrival you notice there are no buildings except a few, but most of the classes take place in the outdoors.
There are crafting that are outdoor, as well as classroom seating (though the seats are made of wood, stone, and sometimes chiton)
In order to enroll, you have to go through the beginner's class, which involves being assisted by the teachers in learning the basics of shapeshifting. like beginning swimming lessons, they will aid you in every part of your learning, and if necessary will walk you through it. The process is very hands-on.
Enrollment is free, as long as you volunteer for chores. Chores include: Cleaning the outdoor pools, guiding the trails for visitors, cleaning, maintenance, and being a tutor for those who are gifted.

(This is a TF RP, but I veer away from mature. Please honor that. Also if you have a character you want to transform into or rp, I might not want to. just depends on the character)

I was walking down the hallway thinking on what class I should put for my extracurricular activity

You notice that this school is outside and is mostly a camp, with very few halls, but this hall that you're in is where the office, hospital, and pottery section are all put in one.
You notice that a few students walk past you wearing strange hats with ears on them...but then it looked like mayb ethose were real cat ears on that boy. He glanced at you and kept walking.

I shrug as everything happens. It was a new school, today was probably bring your costume to school day. I soon check my schedule and noticed that alchemy 101 was first, so I went to the chem lab.

When you show up, you notice that it's in the basement of an old cabin, so you have to walk through the woods for a few miles before you get there. You notice a few other students walking your way, and some pass you on horseback. When you get there, the door of the basement of the cabin is open and there is a smell like burning plastic, or metal, mixed with ozone, the smell that you can find aorund electrical boxes. The teacher is a woman in her forties with short black hair, and despite being in a cabin, seems to be dressed very professionally. She's actually quite attractive. The other students are few, but they are all huddled around, looking at the drawing on the floor. It was, unsurprisingly, a pentagram.
"Does anyone know what this is?" aske dthe teacher.

I was looking out the window. Math was easy to learn, and it is a pain to remember them again. The birds and the grass seem interesting

You heard her ramble on for a while and then there was the word "demonstration" . You could hear the other students say "ooooh" and then "ahhh"

The words demonstration had caught my attention as I start to pay attention to the lesson prepared to take down notes

When you turn around, you notice the teacher is crouched on the ground, her hand on the symbol, which seems to be glowing. There is a pulsing around the room. She gets up and brings an apple to the middle of the room. "a plant" she says simply. And then yelled something in a language you had never heard and put both hands on the ground, causing the symbol to glow brightly and the windows to go black and mirrored. Suddenly the apply hatched like an egg, the inside not filled with fruit at all, but a baby bird. "see?" she said. "next I'll need a volunteer"

I just watch as a poor schmuck raises his hand. The teacher soon picks him and the schmuck trips over himself towards her. He's probably doing this for extra credit or something. I think to myself bored lu again,

He goes to the middle of the symbol. She takes out a thick piece of chalk and draws a few more lines on the floor, and smudges some more. Then yells something in that language again. The guy suddenly glowed, causing the windows to darken again, and you could see the boy grew taller and taller, his arms and legs tightening and becoming more and more muscular. His rear end burst free a tail that whipped around and his forehead grew a single large horn. His skin seemed to glitter, now red as blood, his eyes white. The teacher waved. "human to demon" the class clapped.

My eyes widened as I took down all the notes needed as she started to give a lecture while turning the poor schmuck back to his human appearance. I had decided to add a little more details for my notes.

"Oh..." she looked you up and down. "Um...are you sure what your animal would be? You just got here." she looked around and grabbed the strap on the bottom of the saddle she had apparently taken off earlier on the ground, hefting the saddle onto the wall of the stall she was in. She took out a brush and dusted it off quickly. "Can you grab that shovel there and pick up some of that poop there?" she pointed to a few spots outside the stall.
"Well... no, I don't know what my animal would be," I say as I grab the shovel. "I'm just trying to learn how I could find out an animal and work towards that goal." I do as she asks as I talk, scooping up a spot and moving it away before coming back. "I mean, this is a college for shapeshifters, and I kinda want to learn how to actually shapeshift like you do. Now, granted, I know I have a lot to learn and I didn't even do that well in my first class but I like having goals to work towards."

She nodded. "Goals are good. So you want to be able to transform into one type of thing that makes the most sense for you...and you want to be able to do it at will hmmm" she said as if this was totally different from her situation. She looked like she was thinking hard and then she nodded, coming to a conclusion, "You need to have a lot of experience BEING different things...right? You need to see what you are more comfortable being by shopping around. Also you need to experiment with a lot of different methods of transforming yourself. I can think of a way we could practice once we're done here..." She brushed a fly away from her sweaty face, "Do you have a specific way of transforming that you would like to try the most?"

"What do you mean by specific way? If you mean a method, well, I really like the bullet one. Fast, pretty much painless. And it has a pretty easy trigger. But I've only transformed a couple of ways so I know I'll need to do a bit of shopping around there."

She nodded, "yeah the bullet is convenient...but I only know of the few were-forms that I've seen going around up here. But yeah, I would recommend trying many different methods. If you like, we can try on some masks..." she said it like it was the coolest thing in the world and raised an eyebrow at you.

"Masks, huh? Isn't that getting a little Zelda-y?" I ask with a joking smile. "Sure I'd like to try it. Now, uh, I'm not expecting instant results so in case that's what you're thinking, that's not my intention."

"No, it's not. I figure it's what I can offer. Also you might try those weird transformation jelly beans that some people have around here? I've tried them and they will give you a variety of forms. But that's just one method of transformation" she waved you to her, "come on" and walked out to the path. She came to her cabin and looked around, "no one's here, huh?" she shrugged, "well, I have a key to the mask room at the costume cabin. I've borrowed quite a few because it's not a class that's taught-- there's really nothing to teach" she hefted a duffle bag onto a bed that was presumably hers and unzipped it, revealing about twenty masks. "take your pick" They weren't all obviously one animal or another. But of the ones that were obviously an animal, there were all the basic farm animals, a lion, and a turtle. Of the non-obvious ones there were red green blue and yellow masks, some of them with flowers, or mountains, or constellations drawn on them.

"Yeah, I had one of those. Became a leprechaun. Not my favorite."
I reach in and start pulling out masks, examining them. "Well, this is cool, but I assume this is a first step towards getting to do what you can do with the whole horse thing?"

She shook her head, "nope. Honestly that's a personal thing I found through lots of study and years of being here. There are no short cuts." she said, her eyes intense.

"Not expecting any shortcuts," I say, putting the masks in my hands down on the table. "I'm just hoping I can be able to do what you can by the time I get out. It was kind of my goal coming in, after all." I then pick up a mask. "This starry I've. What's it do?"

"The starry one is a heavens elemental mask. It's the elemental of divinity, of the sky." She was very feminine, but very solemn and serious.

"Huh. Okay, yeah, I think I'll pass on the whole divinity thing." I set the mask aside. "what about the green one?"

"Um. that one is the Living Earth mask. It's the elemental of plants and rocks and also many other things. But those are the most accessible forms." She paused, like she was waiting for you to either put it on or ask about another one.

"Well what about the others?" I ask. "Some of these are really abstract, any that are a bit more straightforward except for the obvious animalian masks?"

"I'm borrowing this particular collection of...abstract masks because I wanted to use them in TA-ing some of the classes. I teach sometimes since I'm a graduate. Seven of these masks, the more abstract ones, are actually related to the seven chakras. The divinity mask taps into the crown chakra, whereas the earth mask taps into the root chakra. They aren't so abstract once you start getting into that stuff. But yeah the animal masks are gonna be less abstract. And if you want the basic elements, those are right here, part of the chakras" she said smiling.

"I actually never wuld have guessed you were graduated. Although I'm not surprised..."
"So what are all the other chakra masks?" I ask, gesturing to the ones not immediately identifiable.

"Yeah I've been graduated for a year. I miss being a student, but I still sorta am one anyway. I just teach too. The one with mountains on it is the third eye, or mind-elemental mask. The one with flowers on it is the throat chakra one and that has to do with self-expression, with sound and vibrations. It's basically a vibration element and it's very intimate, as are the other two. The rest of them are the four elements. The air mask, for the heart chakra, the fire mask for the navel chakra (which is more like a solar mask), the water mask in the groin area (which has the most flexibility of forms), and the earth mask."

"Alright. That makes sense, too. And I am interested in the mountain mask." I pick it up. "Mind elementals, eh? How would that work?"

"Earth is a good place to start. It could also be your strongest chakra, you never know? I'm not good at knowing that kind of thing about other people intuitively though."
She shrugged.
"For a mind elemental, the physical world is immensely loud and distracting. You might find that it's easier to retreat either into your own head or into the mind of some else. Try practicing with yourself first...why don't you borrow it for the day? I want it back sometime tomorrow though. Just don't damage it, k?"

"I'll stick with this one for now. Find out if I like it later."
"Okay. And don't worry, I'll keep it in my dorm. Where should I meet you tomorrow to return this?"

"You're taking the earth one? Just meet me here at 5am. I'll be preparing for a long ride. I won't be available the rest of the day, unfortunately" She said with a sideways frown.

"Alright. I'll try to be here. If I don't make it, I'm at dorm room J236." I say as I tuck the mask into my bundle of clothes nearby, as I am still a werewolf form. "You know I just thought of something. A little experiment of sorts."

"Oh yeah? What's that?" She said, finishing hanging up the tack and brushing it off a little. She then began taking out her braid and re-tying it carefully.
