Back when Takara planned to make Grid Knight and Gridman II (the would be successor of Gridman), someone named Saitoshi draw a design of Gridman wearing a set of armor which revolves around the theme of fantasy elements as the armor was combined from phantom beast(s).Despite appearing as Gridman in a suit of armor, he is actually the would be successor of Gridman, which makes his case all the similar to Grid Knight. This picture's name is Maboroshi no G2/The Phantom G2.
In the anime SSSS.GRIDMAN, Phantom G2 becomes the inspiration of Full Powered Gridman, whereas Grid Knight becomes, well, Gridknight, the reformed Anti's Hyper Agent form.
