Well this was an interesting one. This guy is hard on chairs, huh? I had a bear of a time deciding between leaving his flames/inojee as the blue sprites or changing them, so I've left both on the table. PSD file is here www.deviantart.com/zero-w/art/… because there were waaaaay too many colors for an accurate gif image.

A lot of errors in these sprites. As big as he is, many of his parts had to be broken up and reassembled in ways that produce errors in color and placement. In fact, a large portion of his belt reverts to the color of his "grey" metal in most of his sprites. Similarly, many portions of his trim are out of place, are the wrong color, or both.
Someone was kind enough to fix the error on his belt, and I took care of the ones on his ankles and various other places (e.g. collar, hat, knuckles), but only where I could be sure of the correct value. I wrestled with the idea of leaving some of the errors, but I eventually decided to fix all I could. I had to leave his wrists alone (with his hands raised), because there's a section of "blue" trim, a 23x8 pixel piece (so 3 8x8s, I'm sure) that's 3 pixels off, so it covers up what the main yellow bit of his arm should look like. I have guesses, but I don't want to bother with those. I put the potential correction in the preview image though.

SO-- lil' bit of relevant history, the original NES MegaMan sprite was actually a couple sprites on top of each other: the two blues along with black, white, and his face was too many colors to put in one tile (transparency being another "color" of course). So folks at the time did a smart thing and made his face into a separate sprite, and the rest is history. Or, histor-ish, anyway. As I said, similar thing is going on with General's pieces, he has 30 colors (including transparency) just to stand in place, to say nothing of his inojee/flames and disposable chair.
