Chibi commission x2 for ElithianFox
It's stronger than me, I just can't simplify designs to be more chibi-friendly, so I end up having a hard time trying to fit every detail in a tiny chibi body... but I regret nothing.
No speedpaint video this time 'cause I don't function well while in dejected mode =3=

Whenever I see your commission work you made for me, I'm always so blown away I need some time to think about my response to it. As usual, your work is stunningly gorgeous once again!
To respond to your lil' note in the description, I'm really happy that you keep the characters as detailed as they would be in their regular style. And how awesome they look! Levi's really heroic with his pose and his armour just falls perfectly. Clancy looks captivated by whatever he's seeing through his telescope c:

There are so many values at play and all the different ways you show lighting make my characters come to life even more! I'm especially impressed with the shading on Clancy here <3 Though I would pay just to touch Levi's hair, it looks so SOFT

Whoa, what a power of observation! and these are just the 25% of their actual size, I can't imagine what you have could point out if they were at their full size 
But yes, I use up to 3-4 shades for every colour (less if it's particularly dark). I've gone (I'm still going) through different tutorials on how to pick colours, and it helped a lot

Ah, I see. I must learn too from tutorials (I do remeber some really good tutorials you made that were of great help for linearting and coloring with SAI, too bad I haven't painted digitally ever since, but I'm eager to try those someday).
