Description
A band made from the remains of those that have gone before us, living in a time we shall not know.Leathermade belted band has the centerpiece of a GENUINE fossilized Spinosaurus tooth (yes.... that giant dinosaur that totally kicked T-Rex's butt in Jurassic Park 3).
Beside the dinosaur tooth is a pair of fossil shells from some sort of spiraled gastropod.
And on the outside of the shells are a pair of fossilized Lamna shark teeth.
And ending the lineup would be gaboon viper vertebrae (stained to look prehistoric)
EDIT: 8/24/2011 - This piece has been sold....Due to the rarity of the specimens used, a replica could be made for $95.
Enjoy!

Could it be possible to make something like it, but with much cheaper materials? What is the cheapest amount I could pay you?

Zhon In reply to Lilyherb [2011-08-26 12:46:32 +0000 UTC]
Well...the most expensive thing is the spinosaur tooth at $50. If you want one like this but with no dinosaur tooth it'd be $45

Spinosaur tooth (if I can get one) would be around $50. More expensive if it's bigger and more complete. and two Lamna shark teeth run about $10 each.

pretty inexpensive for a fossil of something they have only two known specimens of and is in truth a fish eating pansy.

I had one person interested in it but I havn't heard anything about it for a long time. But yeah, I still have it. I STILL have your werewolf costume too! It's packed but when I went to the post office to ship it I didn't have the money and my credit card was refused, so I'm waiting until I have the cash to ship it. I also figured I'd add in a little gift with him too (which I havn't found yet )

What a gorgeous bracelet! I like it, a lot. You always have such good ideas for jewelry; it's quite amazing.
What else does the fossil shop have? If you get the chance, I'd be more than happy to receive a PM from you with a list, if possible. I definitely do not mean a list of EVERYthing! Lol! That'd be crazy. I just mean a short list, so that I can get an idea. Maybe after my boyfriend and I move and get settled, I'll ask if you can buy me a few things if I send you the money for 'em plus shipping. If that would be okay, of course.

Thank you so much!!!
The fossil ship has shark teeth, a mosasaur jaw, some little trilobites.... it's actually more of a gem/rock shop, but they have fossils scattered around here and there. Their fossils aren't cheap, but they are reasonably priced. I like their megalodon teeth, if only I could afford them.

Wow that's amazing! I loved the brown leather bracelet, but THIS leather is just beautiful. Is it actually 'stained' or is that just the lighting?

It's got a marbled tan to it... so there are parts that are lighter than others... xD

I have a spino tooth! ^^
haha, I think you already know that though. This is great!! ^_^
And me being all technical sais that the Spino should never have been able to kill the rex. *Holds her tongue on scientific reasons why*

Zhon In reply to alifelessdoll [2008-03-29 17:27:56 +0000 UTC]
Well, science says that the spino was a true hunter, whereas people think rex was a scavenger...

Ahhh truee.... forgot about that o.o
But I did see this documentary that rex hunted almost like lionesses. But who knows. They believe now that the rex was more social.

A spinosaurus tooth? Yikes- how much does that kind of thing cost?
The word that springs to mind here is something along the lines of "fantabulous." I hope that does it justice.

I can get small ones (1-2") for about $20 each... the bigger full 4" ones depend on their quality.... I want the one at the shop that's almost perfect but it's $250....

👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Zhon In reply to angstmonkey [2008-03-27 11:56:39 +0000 UTC]
It's just leather on the back. Everything is sewn to the front layer of leather, and the back of the hind piece is smooth to avoid discomfort from the knots.
