Mah Iguana Skull.I did this up to look like an old-tyme sundail. Porcupine quills as time reference.
(I have no idea how many hours this planet has in a day)
The crevice in the ground was meant to be there...... something about tracing the moon's trajectory.
Working on 20% brainpower while inspired to do this.

I used to have 2 frogs. Bob and Tipper.

I don't think they are poison dart frogs. The mantella is from madagascar, but I'm sure it's somehow related, and the squirrel frog is from my back yard (North Carolina)

You've got an avid herp lover here, would you ever do more iguana skulls/bones? I would be more than willing to buy them from you. If I should not you privattely just let me know! This is a really cool image!

hahah! I too am a lizard lover! I got this skull from a petshop who had a large 4.5 footer die from some disease.
The only reptile things I have is a bearded dragon rug (head is just the top jaw that was preserved along with the backskin but no tail or legs), a snakeskin... which I lost somewhere... Blue Monitor skull, and my Iguana skull.
If you know of any petshops and are friends with them, pick up some dead lizards, freeze them, and ship them to me and I can make them into "rugs" or clean the skulls for ya!
Not sure if I'd want to sell my Iguana skull, but If I had to, I'd maybe ask $50...
I can also get replica skulls from various lizards from vipers, to komodo dragons!

It looks like something you'd see from atlantis or some other tribal fantasy-esque place. Not neccesarily fantasy mind you, just...styled like it.

It was first a childerens book then a movie.
About a magical world where humans and dinosaurs could live in peace.
Amazing though.... the egg-stealing/eating dinos were the ones who cared and hatched eggs in the hatcheries!

Was it easy to clean? I can see many small parts(choking hazard- not for children under the age of 3 !) and teeth are weird.

it is a pretty cool skull!
Fairly easy to clean as long as there's about 1 tablespoon of washing soda (Sal Soda) in the simmering pot.
Their teeth are kinda freaky! After all, iguanas are plant eaters!

Oh they have teeth!!! They may not look like much under those gums, but they're there!
The skull is 4 1/8" long. Came from a 4 footer, which may have been 5 foot if the tail wasn't broken off.

Woah, 4 inches is pretty big. Do you know if it came from a male or a female?
Also, I don't know... anything... about taxidermy, but have you ever made reptiles? 8D;

It was from a BIG male. So big he died from overweight-ness.... yeah....
I've never made a true reptile..... just preserved snakeskins. All the lizards I have are cast replications or freeze dried.
