A rewrite of the Morbius movie but with the bigger Marvel universe connected to it.

Michael Morbius was born with a rare blood disease that should've killed him when he was 6, but he lived way past what any estimates his doctors gave him. At age 12, he became friends with Lucian "Milo" Crown, another child suffering from a blood disease just like Michael. Together they would grow and become some of the smartest doctors to specialize in treating blood diseases.

At age 35, Michael had heard of a colleague of his Curt Connors, transforming into the reptilian mutant known as the Lizard and almost turning all of New York into lizard mutants as well until Spider-Man stopped him. Michael had been in contact with Connors over the past few months and too interest in his cross species mutation as a potential cure for himself and Milo. After the Lizard incident, all of Connors' research was taken by OsCorp, including the Decay Rate Formula that made cross species possible. Luckily Milo had an insider at OsCorp that sent the formula over to Milo and Michael over at Horizon Labs. Taking DNA from vampire bats and modifying the formula, Michael, Milo and Martine Bancroft developed a new treatment and secretly administered it to Michael, after he started to take a turn for the worse health wise. Michael seemed to make a miraculous turn in his health, his blood disease was gone and his body became as physically fit as an olympic athlete. The trio spent three days studying Michael's condition and all seemed to go fine until Michael gained a hunger and no food could stop it. Michael blacked out and woke up in mob warehouse with everyone dead inside and blood all over his mouth.

Michael kept this new development to himself and started to research new, eerie abilities he was forming like echolocation, enhanced strength, speed, reflexes, and healing, control/kinship with bats, body transformation, air current sense, and ability to ride those currents to glide or seemingly fly. During this time Michael also notes that his body thirsts for blood. Animal blood is okay, but tastes not that great and doesn't sustain him as long as human blood does (animal blood - 12 hrs, human blood - 24) Michael's only source of food is the cooler filled with packs of blood, otherwise he'll have to feed on people and he doesn't want that. Unbeknownst to Michael and Martine, Milo took the same treatment as Michael and became just as strong and healthy as Michael was. Milo was so sure of this cure's potency that he gave it to four patients in his and Michael's care, unaware of the coming troubles of what they would all experience. When Michael discovered all of this, he and Martine tried to find a cure but were unable to stop Milo and the patients from leaving and in the days since their escape, a huge killing spree was going on in New York as Milo and the patients needed to feed.

Michael and Martine couldn't find a cure as the serum was modified and the cure that Spider-Man used on Connors wouldn't work and discovering the new cure would take months and so many people would die in that time. So Michael had to stop these new enemies. Milo returned to the lab and started developing a strengthened serum made with albino bat DNA as he had loved the power and he took Martine with him to his underground lair. When Michael found Milo, Martine, and the vampires, it was discovered that Milo mutated into a giant humanoid bat hybrid, now going by Hunger. Michael pleaded with the vampires that they could return and be cured, but none took his offer. Michael stood no chance as it was 5 on 1, but he managed to find a way to victory with the help of calling in bats to his aid against Hunger and the vampires. Taking steel bars, Michael stabbed the 4 vampires in their hearts and Hunger took him to the skies for their final battle. Hunger flew with his large wings and Michael was held up by his bat allies. Their battle was fierce and bloody, but Michael emerged victorious, but he had lost his best friend in the pursuit of a cure that the world wasn't ready for.

Later on Martine destroyed all their research at Horizon Labs and gave Michael a copy she created. Michael had to bid farewell to Martine as he needed to continue research without involving her as police were keeping a watchful eye on Martine. Michael would have to leave his human life behind and he now had to be Morbius, the Living Vampire.

Post credits #1 - Morbius encounters a pack of real vampires in a shipyard and readies to face them until a spotlight shines on them and the vampires are reduced to ash, while Morbius is left slightly blinded. The UV light turns off and the user reveals himself as Blade and readies himself to fight against this new type of vampire.

Post credits #2 - Blade is leading Morbius down into a hidden location and apologizes for the fight earlier, he just doesn't like vampires all that much. Morbius finds himself in a location known as the Abbey and in front of a table with many chairs around it. Suddenly a portal opens and out of it comes a blonde girl with a glowing sword and purple dragon, a flaming skeleton, a mummy looking man with a white hooded cloak and moons all over him, a wizard looking man with a red cloak, and a goth girl with a peculiar staff. They're the world's defense against the supernatural and Morbius is being offered a place on this team, The Midnight Suns.
