Description
Midnight Light SeparationA follow up to Midnight Light , taken on the same night. Though I do have about 30 shots of this storm, it made me realize more than ever that I could use a tripod
Photo has been modified for color saturation, contrast, and levels. Some extra lights put off by Hill Air Force Base have been brushed out as they were all sqiggley (remember, no tripod) and generally detracted from the overall shot. Other than that, nothing was changed.

I actually don't believe I've ever thought of this one as monochromatic... but I suppose you're completely right. Thanks for the comment

The entire series from this storm is absolutely spectacular but I think this is the ultimate one for me. Beautiful. I wish we had more storms like that around my neck of the woods.

I've actually shot 3 different storms, the shots I have on here are from two of those. "Midnight Light " and this one from the first, while "Mountian Strike ," "Triplets ," and "Scorched Earth " are from the third storm. I really enjoy the storms we get around here, but they're rather rare. One of these days I'm thinking about going down to Texas, I hear they've got some amazing storms down there.

I like the almost panoramic view of this. It's quite lovely. I'd like to see more sillouhettes (is that spelled right?), but I still love the picture. It's very interesting.

Yeah, didn't have much control over how this one turned out... no tripod. Didn't turn out quite how I had hoped, actually my least favorite of the five. But, ah well.

This is a great lightning shot and I could see myself using this as my desktop background haha...and yes tripods can be very useful...

I know this isn't exactly an "advanced" critique, but I have to say, that is hands down the most incredible lightning pic I have ever seen. Excellent job.
