I decided to make a ref sheet for you all to use if you wanted to perhaps create a male num. :3 Simply click download over there, and save it as it is. Then, open up a program like PaintTool SAI, Photoshop, or Gimp, and make a layer behind it. The color should appear behind it no problem at all.. I made it like it is so that you wouldn't have to make a fuss trying to stay inside of the lines. ;3

You can upload it to your main gallery, but you are not allowed to sell these for points without my permission. Anyway, here is the information about them. ;3

Nums, or nummies, are very peaceful, doglike dragons that have descended from the dragons of the East. They enjoy simply conversing, playing games, telling stories, and practicing magic for fun. They have retained the wisdom and soul power that was an instinct to their ancestors, as well as the fur that seems to have spread across their bodies. They are very brightly colored, due to their ancestry.

• E M O T I O N S •

Nums are very expressive. They even have tear sacs behind their eyes that enable them to cry. Their mouths have muscles that normal dragons do not have that allows them to grin and frown. Their intelligence is a higher than that of a man, so they can think and properly carry out whatever their minds desire. They are not driven by instinct, but are much more human than animal. Because of this, they cherish the family bond very much. A lot of their culture is built around family. They usually mate for life and can have up to four babies, called numlings, a year.

• A B I L I T Y •

In battle, nums are still a formidable opponent although they lack the ability to breathe fire. They have very sharp claws and horns, but rather than using those as weapons, they use magic. Inside of them, located near their stomachs, are little pouches that gather energy from the surrounding area by using the furless circles on their ears. Without their ears, nums would not survive. They have little sensors that magnetize the force of the area and bring it to the soul sac. When enough is brought together, they can unleash a very powerful and deadly attack from their mouth. Depending on the severity of the blast, it can either be red, orange, yellow, green, blue, or purple. They also use that power to fly.

• A N A T O M Y •

These creatures are very canine in appearance. They have long, floppy ears and canine teeth, as well as a nose and paws. Their legs are very muscular, showing their dragon genes. Sometimes as a rare mutation, they will have plates on their underbelly instead of their usual thick fur. Their tail is about the length of their body long and has a lot of fur at the end. It is useful for battering foes, using as a rudder when flying, and as a pillow when sleeping.

Their fur comes in many different colors. Most of it has to do with their genes. If the parents' dominant gene is red, then the nummy will turn out to be red, naturally. All nums are born a solid color, which will be their primary color. Their markings come from inheritance.

There is one subspecies of the main num species. It is the lesser num, which is basically the same, only smaller and with shorter legs. They are often poached for their fur, since they are much easier to catch and a lot less powerful. Their fur colors are almost always analogous, the most common being orange.
