Description
4"x6" cardstock; 4.5 hours for everything (planning, cutting, etc). This was actually pretty straight forward, for a paper cut.Based on a great stock photo here by =Tigg-stock
A detailed image of the eye area can be seen here . This is worth a look, as the image here is a little out of focus (sorry!) Actually it being slightly out-of-focus makes it more photograph-like; hmmm.
You can see a couple WIP images here in my scrapbook if you are interested.

Yes, this is all paper! I cut different sheets of colored paper and layered them to get this photographic effect. Who knew paper could be so awesome!?

Yup! Seven layers! I still believe planning out the layers and keeping them straight is the toughest part of the whole process. I have definitely cut out parts in the wrong color before and had to re-cut them out--not fun!! Luckily on this piece I was able to keep it all straight!

I only wish I had so many colors to work with. It sounds difficult and challenging. I too am gonna graduate soon and I'll then search around for new colors Can't wait to get some new paper

WOW. *Very* impressive. Great job on the hair and skin, especially around his mouth, collar bone and eyebrow.
