with inkjet decals. I also have a plotter that I have blown around 500€ on and it cant cut fine enough lettering. Its best to invest into a printer that can print with white ink but these normally go for 1k€ up. I will get one eventually but for now I have to cut all the contours by hand to get down my base for the logos.

Yeah thats the basic idea but I dont use any of these materials. But remember this was applied over white, colored backgrounds require that you spray down a white contour of the logo because the decals are transparent.

Once the first coat of paint is protected with clear I spray the second color into the engravings(and around it) and wipe off the surface with reducer so that I get rid of the access. Secondary paint remains only in the engravings, very simple.

Yeah thats the basic idea but they dont explain anything. They said that you have to sand paint and then clear coat. This is a big no no, you will see scratches in the paint trough the clear coat, especially if its metallic paint. If you have black metallic paint and you touch it with sand paper it turns silver. Spraying clear on top of that amplifies your mistake. You can sand out a dust particle but then you have to blend the paint back in. Paint normally has a flash off time between 24 hours. You have to put clear coat onto it within this time frame other wise you are asking for adhesion issues. Check out the "eastwood company" youtube site. They have a series of videos that explain everything in detail.
