two males have pulled themselves on the pack ice and are fighting for the females like elephant sealsthis elasmosaur form Middle Cretaceous Australasia lived with Kronosaurus. being much closer to the south pole the seas of Aus most likey froze over in winter making this possible

Even though it's highly unlikely they'd be able to be on land, it's pretty cool speculation.

I can understand the larger plesiosaurs might be vulnerable on land, but the smaller ones might be slightly easier to crawl up on land.

for this i used pack ice because the where Woolungasaurus lived may have froze over so this is extreme example but i also remember a friend saying more derived plesiosaurs cant crawl on land due to the flippers being too stiff so take this piece with a grain of saltΒ

well they live in cold seas so need some blubber and plus they need protection for fights plus fat dinos look better
