Description
As the name suggests there is more going on in this painting then just a lone standing tree. Five or more years ago I was inspired by this tree that caught my attention due to its misleading yet beautiful illusion. By approximately 2012 I was inspired to paint this tree on canvas resulting in what you are witnessing above. It was a special moment for me because in the heat of the moment I was disentangled from my equal and precise way of drawing and painting leaving me to purely express what I felt in that moment.

As most of my paintings will be I used oil paint in the making of this one. The canvas size is 30x40cm It was only since a couple of months ago ,when I decided to remove it form my own wall and give it as a present to a dear friend, that I used a glossy varnish to protect the painting and brighten the colours once more. It is now placed in a office in the "Rechtbank The Hague" where people in suits practice law on a daily basis.
