Poke'dex:
Known as the "Fire God" poke'mon in the Chubu Region, Aeries are highly sought out, but rarely ever captured. Another on the National Poke'mon Endangered Species List (N.P.E.S.L.) Aeries were hunted in wartimes for their ability to blacksmith weaponry at a much longer and more effective rate than human blacksmiths.

In the "War of Roses" Aeries played a large part in what could've been the Northern Victory. It is rumored that this poke'mon still exists atop a sealed mountain known as "Mt. Olympus" on Silt Island.

Should a trainer ever encounter an Aeries poke'mon, they are warned! Their signature moves include "Hammerdown" where the Aeries repeatedly strikes the foe with its hammer arms for 4-12 times. Also another move to watch out for is "Tempered Flame". A fire type attack which builds for three turns before unleashing a fire so hot and large an opponent would feel as if they were inside a burning building!

Okay, so this poke'mon was based off of the Greek God "Ares", who was the God of Fire, blacksmith to Zeus who tempered out and crafted his finely honed thunderbolts.

I thought Ares would make a great poke'mon rare to seek out on Mt. Olympus, the sealed poke'mon where many rare and highly sought after poke'mon are found.

Aeries will be located on the 6th Floor of Mt. Olympus, guarding the entryway into the Hearth Cave. Trainers will only have one chance to catch Aeries, just like Medusi and others to come!
