Hello dear Martina, here is a response from our conversation on April 27, 2010.Β I had congratulated you on becoming a grandmother (again) with just a touch of envy.Β Well, I am now a Grandpa (Yehyeh) and Lynn, my wife is finally a Grandma (Nainai)
Sam was born on 21st September, less than a week after we left Australia to be present for his birth in Guilin.Β I must return to Oz on 16th Oct. for my sons wedding on 26th.Β Lynn will (tradition) stay to care for new mum and baby till 12th December.Β It would normally be 100 days, but Australian immigration don't allow other cultures to usurp their regulations.Β (I will be happy to have her back earlier)
You haven't heard from me earlier because I had a nasty little episode requiring surgery.Β All clear now, but I have a lot of catching up to do.Β Beginning with some intimate mother to baby bonding pictures.Β I will visit you for inspiration.
Β Β Β I am so sorry!Β I just went to your DA site and read about your loss of a grandson.
How tragic!!
It is such a difficult event to lose a child or grandchild; we expect to watch them grow and then to precede them into whatever awaits us after here.Β Life is too short (and too often, cruel).
BTW, I haven't forgotten about Firefly.Β Its near the top of my project list.

Hello there..it's nice to know that someone would still remember so much about me even after several years of being away.I am so happy to hear the news of a grandchild for you!! My two littlest ones are now almost 3&1/2 years old .They bring so much joy to our lives.We have 9 grandchildren all together but as you know we lost our oldest last year October.It is a very hard thing to lose a loved one but especially sad that he will not get to experience
This amazing, wonderful, crazy, challenging world we all live in.Β

I have also had some surgery....to my right elbow for nerve damage...a second hip replacement after just 5 years of the 1st one and cataract surgery in both eyes.
So my time with art has been very challenged.
I have spent a lot of time working on my digital art skills.I recently have been commissioned to do 3 book covers and am actually getting paid!
Never thought that would happen but what a nice surprise.
So life goes on in one big circle..glad you are part of my circle my friend! !
