I normally would have just faved the photo but some morbid curiosity made me go check in on the comments just knowing how everyone will have commented on the model's appeal. And I was right. No one would leave comments about the worrying figure of a fat person, because it's considered hurtful and rude. but no one cares how it might make a skinny person feel when they comment on their appearance. and what's worse no one is actually 'worried' - they don't know the model, they can't even see her face. it's just a nice way of saying they're shocked or disgusted and that the model should do something about it. double standards. even if she was sick or underweight it makes her no less capable of being a model for an artistic photograph, perhaps even precisely because of her features. leaving comments about someone's personal appeal as a model on an artistic portrait just diminishes the emotion of the photo itself. unfortunately for many people this photo didn't portray any emotion or a captured moment, they just concluded you were wrong to take a shot of a skinny girl. it's a lovely and graceful photo btw

sometimes i feel that just people like animals like to attack in this way or another someone who appears weak .. and that is sadΒ
and now there is also some kind of good mood for talking about anorexia .. but mostly people dont realise that .. cause of those problems .. is agressive society, problems inside families

Lovely picture. I'd just like to say to the others commenting about the model's body - she may be thin, but some girls are naturally quite thin. Her body is not necessarily indicative of malnutrition. Additionally, I believe the main reason she looks so thin in this picture is due to the way she is arching her back. My spine shows just as prominently when I sit and arch my back like she is in the photo, and I am a perfectly healthy weight. (5'5 tall and 118 pounds).Β
Basically - yes, she's thin. But I doubt she's quite as "worryingly thin" as some commenters seem to think once you take her pose into consideration. Really, really beautiful photo, in my opinion!

Hard to see the intent of photo but sure it was to show artistic expression, its just subject posing, herΒ malnutrition is is a sign of something, hopefully just misjudgement Β

I got to agree with you about the malnutrition. It actually did hurt to look at the photo, maybe it's just the lighting and hopefully it's just a misjudgement. The composition and the colours of the photo are pretty never the less!
