Well, that's kinda hard to explain...
I have all of the files and batch installers, I'll try and have them uploaded over the weekend with instructions. Also have login UI and System Restore

Sorry, I've been having internet problems. Ask 2008WindowsVista for the files, he too has them.

Nice. I use this as my main OS, and it works great. I personally prefer it to Windows Vista.

Sadly no, nobody has found a workaround to port over Media Center :/
Aside from that I have just about everything else. Even SP1 of 2008 runs smoother than Vista SP2 (I of course upgraded). OS is pretty impressive.

Thanks^^
Took plenty of surgery to do this, but eh not that bad. Even with all client features ported over it still runs lighter, and more stable than Vista would. People will argue over this but it even outperforms R2 and Windows 7! On R2 if I where to enable desktop services and reboot, it would hang and take about 3 restarts to process everything. On R1 just one simple reboot and all was done. Vistax kernel is very powerful indeed

I approve this
server 2008 R1 is the most secure version of windows and the proof is it's the only version of windows with very few updates as there isn't much security holes and bugs to patch
currently I can't find any REAL upgrade from vista and server 2008
