Commission from Otakon 2012; Pencil.The request was for Power Girl getting in costume, joking about how important her bra was. This is what I came up with. In my own personal head-canon (because we've all got it, amiright comic fans?) her Bra Memorial Wall is now a permanent thing. And she gives all her bras nordic names, like only big, tough-ass vikings could possibly hold the girls in check.
...Because I'm ridiculous. Clearly.

So many perverted yet funny things that can be said here but I just really feel the need to restrain myself from saying so lol. Nice work! I don't think I've seen you draw this sort of fan service before and I love it! Testament to your skills in detail when given the right motivation if you know what I mean lol. Nice work! I gotta ask, what was Comfort's reaction when she saw that someone had commissioned you to draw Power Girl's ridiculous bust lol?

I don't do much fanservice, no. I'm not usually very comfortable with it, and don't want to be seen as "THAT kind of male artist." But when the character is right and the scene has something more to it for me to get into, I can enjoy some cheesecake.
As for Comfort-- she draws more of this cheesy stuff than I do! And ANY time somebody asks for a Power Girl sketch, they're asking for her ridiculous bust. It's part of the package. It'd be like saying "Someone commissioned you to draw Green Lantern's power ring."

Lol yeah, its probably best that you avoid being one of "those" guys. Its fun from time to time but to make a living off of it can cause some unwanted attention.

Maybe her uniforms are invulnerable, but apparently the booby hangers aren't. She must have have them made outta military grade Kevlar, but the kind of supervillains she faces, even Kevlar isn't enough!

Might be too much concentration work to make each breast fly independently. And then there's the danger of "Dead Or Alive" syndrome where each sort of floats and bounces around on its own with no consideration for physics or gravity.
Alls I's sayin' is sometimes the old ways are the best ways.

DiDio doesn't want to acknowledge the fallen brassieres. Since they died in what was a stupid story and he doesn't like women, he REFUSES to let them have a memorial case in the Power-Cave. Later on, he'll probably just resurrect them in some equally stupid fashion just to shut people up about it, but then never give them the chance to shine like they deserve.
Or... wait... maybe that's Stephanie Brown...

In all honesty, if this had been straight T&A I wouldn't have liked it that much. But the inclusion of the Memorial Wall to fallen bras is what sells it for me.

In all honesty, if it had been straight T&A I wouldn't have enjoyed making it that much. I don't like drawing straight sexy stuff; I'm much happier if there's some character going on, whether it's through humor or a wink and a nudge or something telling about who the person is I'm drawing.

lol, nice. You know, a lot of people do cheesecake/T&A art, particularly with characters like Power Girl. But you and Comfort both take it to a whole other level by putting actual thought into it and including a good dose of humor. I think that tends to gives it way more value then 99% of the 'sexy' pics you see floating around, especially on deviantart.

It's something I learned from many of my favorite artists, Adam Hughes in particular, but if the girl has personality and the drawing is about more than just "Lookit them bajoobles!!!" then it's less about objectifying a woman as an object and more about telling a story. A cheesy story maybe, but one where she's in on the joke so to speak.
