Description
Snakes!!For the heck of it, I actually timed myself, and the pic took about 25-26 hours (not counting scanning and pasting everything - 4 panels - together). Does not include the pre-drawing tinkering either (specialy thanks goes to my hamster, who didn't protest at all when I used marker to ink a suspiciously familiar pentagon/hexagonal pattern on her rolling-ball).
I have a WIP of this in scraps (and a couple other WIPs of this too, which I will upload to scraps later).
I just know I'm forgetting something that I wanted to say - sorry in advance to the edt...

Nice icosidodecahedral (I mean "soccer ball") framework. I don't get all relations between the various symbols (as I don't always on M.C. Escher's engravings) but I like the global picture.

Wow. Cool picture. Are you a MC Escher Fan? I'm sure you know him. If you don't check him out. Great work and very similar to yours.
Superb job!

It's about 14 inches in diameter (usually I work on paper that's either 36*48 or 30*40 cm, unless I do something digital - then I do what my computer lets me do )

Amazing. This was started in pencil, right? It's a buckyball formation indeed but there are overtones of Escher in the piece. Fantastic piece, truly. Wish I was good as you, kayne.

The picture is pencil except for the eyes - the color in those was just done by changing the mode to RGB and airbrushing over them in color mode. I also always crop the background out of the images when they are finished. I have WIPs of this in scraps that don't have the backgrounds removed (complete with some guidelines and eraser flecks that I was just too lazy to brush off before scanning an unfinished picture).
Thank you for your comment

OMG DETAIL!!! VERY NICE!!! no crit, amazing work as usual!
actually, come to think of it...there seems to be a slight lack of depth of field...maybe blur some of the back snakes a little? or am I just seeing it wrong?
