A random sketch of a wolf made out of wood. He is searching for spring as winter snow keeps coming over the mountains. I was inspired to draw this today as a therapy piece because of the never ending winter. It snowed today after yesterday we had over 70 degree weather...The wolf is composed of a subalpine tree called the bristlecone pine. These trees can live for thousands of years. I chose this tree to combine with the wolf because to me it symbolizes stamina and strength.
Still debating if I want to color this or not. Bad picture quality, but the lighting does reflect my mood right now.

This is looking really wicked! It would look so cool to have moss growing on some spots of the wood.

Either way would work. As a black and white, it's a very poignant picture, feels very bleak. But the lines in the wolf says 'hope.' It hasn't given up yet. Even if the picture quality is poor, it is still an interesting piece.
