Thank you very much for putting a tutorial up! I tried it, but when I scanned it in, my lines looked a mess...Your lineart came out so smooth! What kind of pen did you use or what kind would you recommend?

I usually either use Sakura Micron, COPIC Multiliner or a normal mechanical pencil. For this one, I used the pencil to outline it...It usually takes alot of practice and time to outline properly...;;

After CTRL+X, which is basically cutting the whole lineart out, create a new layer with a black background (use paintbucket). Then turn on QuickMask and CTRL+V (paste) on the new layer.

I wish it was this easy in psp XI...But I can't find the mask tool. ;_; It would've been nice, too, considering I'm a complete newbie. Nice, though.

I'm not sure what went wrong.. and you seem to be really good at photoshop.. so... I scanned my picture in, but it won't let me click anything in my channels or layers. It has them all locked. Do you know what's wrong with them?

This is really helpful! Nuuu~ X3 My lineart usually sucks.. so I rely on the computer and use the pen tool to stroke paths.. this, however, seems a lot easier, saves a lot of time, and yes, I should just use tracing paper!
THANK YOU!! X3
