It's a shame that you only see the totem ingame

Thanks man! I also got to see your recent Warcraft work (the Worgen & Goblin ones). You paint those yourself? They looked awesome.

Yeah. I use a single layer in Painter and treat it as I would a canvas with Oils.
I love all the cool techniques all you guys use. It looks fantastic. But, I'm not schooled enough to pull off the things you're doing. LOL
I would like to figure some of it out and incorporate it someday. Fantastic work, Alex.

I played a shaman. I know the pain of the Blizz nerf bat.

I play an shaman too, and as enhancer I always wonder why it is not the best totem for single target damage.
I love how it looked in warcraft III too. it was a fire-ghost-snake spitting fire at enemies.

nice! i like the desaturated look to this. and the fire is tight as hell. looks like hard light/overlay/vivid light mix used to great effect.

You did the abomination a great justice here.
My favorite monster/npc in the game hands down.
Love the cold/hot composition and back/rim-lighting, Mr. G.
Great stuff.

Thanks! I actually did these cards almost a year ago so it's a bit strange to look at them now. Shows how long it takes for these card sets to get released. Also makes me question the actual deadlines...

You did a fantastic job on this. I'm particularly impressed by the way you rendered the fire and handled the lighting.

Awesome work on the fire! You can almost feel the napalm coming off of that totem. Love those massive hands on the abomination too. Very nice. The abomination's abdomen seems pretty empty; I wonder what poor soul is strung up with his intestines!
