Description
This is a map I did a while back.Castelia is one of my fantasy worlds... the same one from the "Roclod, city in the sky" pic. The city of Roclod is in the extreme north-east of the map. The city is encrusted on the top and sides of a floating mountain-like rock.
The cities located in the blue part of the map are in fact under water. They are the "merfolk" cities. The clounds at the borders are the representation of the edge of the world... where the nothingness lies.
Castelia is a unified world, so there aren't any boarders... the orange areas on the map are "urban" areas... they reapresent the actual size of the cities.
Edit: -------------------------------------
I made a new version of map... follow the link:

Harhar, cool map^^ Did you use special brushes/which ones?
Dodn't tell me you can describe every city....cause that would be inhuman^^'', but its a possibility.
I noticed the biggest city Adenna has its name from Lineage 2, ne?
Looks really professional, but I've got critics nonetheless I'd like to see the mountains more "elevated", at this point they look more like deserts. I think its due to the white "snowlines". Maybe make them dark-terracotta instead of white?
Enways, great job, man. More pics and info!!!^^

Heh. I can deiscibe every "region", does that count? In the story, Lian (main character) travels from one city to another, but he doesn't visit even half of them, most are literally just points in the map. If I had to discribe them all... I think I'd say that the cities of each region look more or less alike... I guess.
Adenna was actually an original name... I didn't know it was taken. XD With so many names to have to invent it was bound to happen. And keep in mind this is only "1" of over "15" worlds in the story (I know, I'm crazy).
Yeah, I'm currently working on better visuals for the maps... soon to be submited I hope. ^_^

The shape of this world reminds me of the world map of Morrowind.

Personally, I think they ALL look alike... hehehe... there are only so many ways you can draw a continent. XD
Morrowind, huh? I didn't know which one was that, so I looked it up in the google. That map is WAY cooler then mine!!! Check out the level of detail!

Only one thing I didn't wuite understand... is it a bunch of floating islands or are they just plain islands on water?

In the game they are very large vertical rocks jutting out of the watter... anywhere from 6 to 20 feet? They are too pointy to stand on though.
And YES. I agree that map is DETAILED. I used it to find hidden caves and stuff while playing the game. I even used it at one point to find a specific location when they told me "It is in the mountains to the north somewhere." Studied the map, sure enough there was a little cave drawn right where I had to go. Took me like 5 minutes and saved about 10 hours wandering around in game.
AAAANYWAY... Kinda got carried away there...

Heh... I love it when you get carried away. ^_^
I'm currently working on better visuals for my maps... it's still nothing like that Morrowind map, but still...

Aheh... Really?
And keep in mind the map for Morrowind is a poster. Literally. They ship a poster with the game so the artist probably had a lot more space than what you are giving yourself.
