Very nicely done - and a nice fusion of the comic and movie versions. (though Hellboy is the one series where I prefer the movie to the books/comics)

Yeah, if it's your own stylized approach, forget what I said. From that point of view, I think it's perfect. You're just going to get some comments from the purists. Both from the comic and movie sides.

And boy howdy, thats no understatement. I mean I know I have scale issues with my other stuff, but I'm hearing it on every forum. I guess I should have clarified that it was stylized before I posted it, I can see where people would think I'm mentally retarded though, I mean it's obvious he's holding some semi automatic and not his beloved Samaritan. I mean it's all fine and good when Andy Bergholtz or Mark Newman do a stylized piece, but some ragtag unknown like me, well thats blasphemy.

Dude - it's your sculpt to do how you want. What's wrong with another interpretation. I like it. Just to appease the perfectionists put "stylized" in there first next time to save on the heartache...Geesh - can't a guy have a little fun.
I'm sure you can copy a dead on 3D version if you wanted.

But honestly, I think he looks great and I like how you proportioned him. Your interpretation is as good as any other. I love how you kept all his features and made him in your own unique style. Not many people can do that, you see. A lot of them try, but fail here and there. You have a trademark, a uniqueness that others don't. /end of my two cents

I like the medium you've chosen between the two the film and the comic version. Great work on the muscles too, the triceps sepperation in particular is one I see a lot of sculptors mess up, but you've done a good job.

Yeah, I think maybe I'm confusing people here, it's not supposed to be in 'real' scale despite the other realistic aspects, rather I was going for my own stylized approach. So yeah, the arms would indeed be too long and the legs too short and for that matter the head is too big. LOL.
