Description
Venus
venus is the second planet from the sun and the 3rd smallest in the entire solar system. it was named after the goddess of love and is also known as the moring star or evening star, as it is the brightest planet in the sky and is visible during early morning or late evening. venus is also refered to as earth's 'sister' because it has a mass, composition, diameter, internal structure and density similar to that of earth. but those are probably the only similarities between the two worlds, as venus is the hottest planet in the solar system with an average global temperature of 460°C, hot enough to melt lead! it has an extremely dense and toxic atmosphere raging with 400km/h winds, raining sulphuric acid and tensed with lightning. the atmosphere is so dense that it obscures the surface with thick clouds of sulphuric acid and acts as the biggest green house in the entire solar system, trapping nearly all of the heat that enters it. the planet itself is a volcanically active world ruled by constantly erupting volcanos and huge craters and calderas spewing lava, carbon dioxide and sulphur compounds. it is an extremely hostile environment for humans and we would be instantly crushed by the huge atmospheric pressure and incinerated by the intense heat. venus has an unusually long day and rotates in a retrograde motion (sun rises in the west and sets in the east instead of rising in the east and setting in the west like all other planets). one day on venus lasts longer than a year on venus and also, the planet is upside down on its axis. some scientists try to explain this by saying that venus rotates slowely in a prograde motion like the other planets, but is tipped upside down on its axis. others say that a huge impact back in venus' past during the solar system's formation, caused the planet to reverse rotation.

hi guys!
you can see the other three here:
Mercury: Earth: Mars:
i've added two other planets to the image, kinda to scale. can you find them?
as always, comments and critiques are always welcome and appreciated!

This image is cool. I really like the way you made it look realistic with the colors and the map. But I just cannot see the planet's surface. No need for any slight adjustments because the image is perfectly fine. I believe that the planet is home to a humanoid race called the Hyperlogers who can survive at hot temperatures. The Hyperlogers have visited Earth several times in the past, even meeting several humans on Earth. The Hyperlogers worship humans as their gods, and Venus is Earth's sister planet. Over all, I really like how you did it. Looks awesome.

I think Venus is so much brighter than the stars, that they would be invisible. the drawing is awesome though!

A very beautiful and accurate rendering of Venus. It looks exactly as we would see it aboard a spacecraft as it approaches Earth's errant sister planet.
