Alright! i have been hammering the APU's coloring for this past two weeks and this is the outcome so far, i have the operator's sit done, so is Alphaleo himself, the biggest success of this piece goes to the metal texture on the APU and the rust effect, and i'm still working hard to improve it, i;m still pretty uncertain on the lighting for the moment but for now i just wanted to get the whole APU done then i'll worried about the lighting. so far so good.Lastly today is my birthday and i'm 25 now.........YYYYEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

hee! hee! your right, what u saw is only 65% of the whole art, the original is even bigger, so far the photoshop file size is only 22MB and i'm glad i have a P4 computer to surpport it.

Holy CRAP, that's killer! I agree about the metal effect, but the coloring on the clothing adds a lot as well.
The only thing that bothers me is the bolts... a little more pronounced shading under them could add some depth. Just a thought, though.
PS - how did you pull off that metal effect? And have you written a coloring tutorial?

So far so good! I think you should put the lighting over Alphaleo's head since that's where the light scource is coming from. I really like how you did the rusty effect on the APU.
