I really like how the soldier is the only thing in focus. It's a great shot

I like the composition here. I would've cropped that sign out of it, I don't think it adds very much to the photo.

nooo the sign is part of the picture. it plays with the composition. if i had shot the image diffently without the sign then the soldier would not have been the main focal point nemore.

Hmm maybe. But I just don't like how its just barely included in the photo.

no well the sign has its own message. and the positioning of the soldier wouldn't work if it were to be cropped

ohh yah its grainy cause i had to drop the dpi to 190 and shrink the image to 2.5inches so no one would rip it off

Your best photo in your gallery, the other just doesn't have enough "feeling" to it--they just looks like normal shots.
What I like is the sign on the pole--whether it's actually intentional or not-- "STOP HERE"
It's a perfect shot for a news story
personally I think if the speed was lower it'll look even better, but this is also great.

well i know theres some great beyond great emotional shots out there. but i'm not into the whole set up have someone pose for you stuff. i'm not against it or nothin and i'll prob try em out one day. but the way i shoot is just walk to wherevers and go wherevers and shoot when you see. so yah i liked it to and i enjoy the way it was composed. the other shots i enjoy also but yah this is one of my better ones.

what I means for 'feelings' arent just 'emotion' it's more like the "IT" factor that makes the picture special, not that the rest are bad, but they just dont' have enough of the "IT" on it.

yah haha no worries i got what you were sayin. i just naturally have to defend my work. haha. but yah well to please people in general you have to have some kind work that pleases the people. but i don't give a damn if people like or don't if they do shootz, if not then watever just keep goin. haha but yah this is a more mainstream subject peice than my other works. and i mainly i just like the composition of the peice.
shootz

Thats a great shot... It really makes me wonder where the soldier was going (outside the obvious answer of a military base or Iraq or something lol).

Lovely composition, and the timing of the shot was perfect. Really captures a moment, and a mood. Nice work.

Great shot. Composition is just perfect. The blurry train, the soldier looking how it goes away (or so it seems).
