I have a Canon EOS Rebel XS, I was wondering where I find out where the aperture is on my camera and how to change it?
thank you

I always thought people created it by Photoshopping and making the background blurry but it made the "little lights" because of just light in the background... But I guess I only thought that because I know Photoshop better then I know cameras sadly. I want to get started focusing more on my photography just don't know where to start...
Anyways, great tutorial!

You mean: without a reflex? I don't think so.

Thank you so very much for writing it! I always assumed bokeh and other camera tricks were very difficult to master, but your tutorial made me realize that anyone with a basic understanding of camera optics (and hopefully also owning a DSLR camera) can do it!!! You are the best
I think you should add a note/change the introduction a bit. Let readers know that they should have access to a DSLR (borrow from mom/dad etc.) or else most of the information won't make sense.

The one main thing I liked about this, I always set the aperture of my lense to either f/1.4 or f/1.6 and I suddenly realized that f/2.2 would work fine, too.
Thanks a lot, highly appreciated!
