Heh, posting this from my work machine, it doesn't have skinning stuff installed ... the laptop which does finally threw in the towel, and has been sent off for replacement (hopefully!)

Hello all! Merry Christmas.
This theme is not intended to be System 6. Basically, it's for those who like a little bit of bling.
There will be a System 6 at some point in the future. It will include a dark version similar to this, but without the glow (and yes there will possibly be a plastic version!)
@~Kroc: I have now done so- thanks!
PS Sorry for the long timescale on this one, real life has been a PITA lately!!

You're darn right this is definitely worth releasing. The people demand this VS!
Still rocking System4 until we can get our paws on a black plastic version of System5.
Great visual styles. This is what XP was meant to look like!

Yep, it's a work in progress.
Unfortunately my laptop is again dead (already on it's 4th hard drive, second battery, second mobo and second charger)
I have a backup of the two glass styles, unfortunately the flat versions appear to be lost.
(avoid Dell laptops!)
Will try and recreate it if I can't get it from the disk...

Any news? Why don't you release just the two glass styles? I must admit that I'm not interested in the flat ones...

You seem to have bought a quality product... Hope the exchanges were free for you?

Looks real trim. Is there anyway you can reduce the space around the start button so that it sits directly against the side of the screen. I like maximum space for tasks, especially on 1024x768. Also IMO the glow is a little overdone, for a skin that is essentially, high usability and for long term use.
Great as always, even though I'm a Mac user now, I continue to use System 3 / 5 in Bootcamp and parallels, as they don't get tiring and make windows very trim and distinct.

Nifty. I would love to see a 'flat' version without the gloss. By the way, your System series is pretty much the only set of visual styles I ever run. Keep it up.

cheers mate
I also get tired of the gloss every so often, it's just a little too blinging.
But, sometimes the original one seems a little plain.
That's why I include both
