I wanted to paint a place where I can sink my toes into hot sand and listen to the waves.I went back and forth with many of the details here because I wanted the image to have this certain feeling that's hard to put into words. Like realistic to a certain point but leading the mind into the fantasy of escape? I hope the image does the job of explaining this better than I can.
Painted in massive scale because I knew I'd print this. I need these windows to other worlds to escape to every now and then when real life is a bit too much if you know what I mean

Oh, this is beautiful! As someone's who's attempting to master seascapes, this is inspiring, a very gorgeous use of colors, I almost thought it was a photo in the thumbnail, I wish I could go lie on this shore and just watch those clouds. It does indeed do a wonderful job of explaining that feeling of longing for a quiet spot like this, well done.

Nice thoughts on the piece: I understand that too. It's nice to create little worlds where we can just travel to and escape to.
This one definitely has an immersive feel, although at some points I wonder how pleasant it is. Still, it's really good and I like how you did the water a lot.

I find so much solace in lonely landscapes, so much beauty in bleakness... this picture is so calm, peaceful, and mournful but in a way that I can't describe properly. This picture isn't about happy and sad for me; it's about being reminded that the world is so much bigger than I am, being forced to realise a true sense of perspective but in a reassuringly honest way. It's truly wonderful. I could sit on that beach for eternity.
