Description

The spirit of Aippaq itself leads your Tokota to the mountainous Ridge of Elders to personally commend their wisdom and leadership with a gift. This gift can be a long-lost trinket from your Tokota's puphood, healing herbs for an ailing friend/relative, a short visitation from the spirit of a deceased loved one, or anything else of emotional value.

Illi could see the Ridge of Elders in her line of sight and knew they were almost there. She had been traveling day and night to get there along with one of her closest friends, Leia, a large white wolf. As she stood there high up in the mountains looking over the rest of valley she began thinking on how far she had come. Today would mark the beginning of her passage to Alpha, and instead of feeling an immense amount of pride in herself, as she should have, she instead felt strangely humble. The path there hadn't been all on her own after all, if it wasn't for her family and friends, her pack, she would've not be standing where she stood now. She was grateful for them all, her father and mother, her own children, and of course her handler Jerry. She knew that she was luckier than most, her pack and Jerry always had been there to support her, through the good and the bad. She even felt fortunate for the companion that stood by her side currently. Leia had been a great friend and one she trusted fully. Their vast differences disappeared among the strong connection that stood between them. She was glad for her company, glad that she didn't have to face her upcoming journey completely alone. After taking in the view one last time Illi took a deep breath and began the trek up the mountain

Soon the sun began to set and as Illi looked up she saw the magical night lights began dancing across the sky. She knew she was getting very close to the legendary Ridge of Elders. This wasn't the first time she had seen the mystical mountain peak before, she had seen it once before a few months ago during a sled marathon that she took with Jerry. Though she was happy to take the journey to Alpha on her own a part of her wished that Jerry and Iki could've been there with her.

After a small journey up the legendary mountain Illi was so close to the magical night lights that she felt like she could almost reach out and touch them. Leia too seemed quite mesmerized and slowly took in all the sights around her. Illi couldn't believe they had actually made it and now stood atop the mystical Ridge of Elders. She began thinking of all the other Tokota's that had been there before her, however she was still a lucky member of a rather very exclusive group, one that only a handful of Tokota's would ever join. After all not every Tokota would make the journey to the Ridge of Elders in their whole lifetime, it was an immense honor to be allowed entrance upon it and one Illi did not take for granted.

It was said that the Tokota's that made it to the ridge were given a special gift, a wish, of their choice directly given to them from Aippaq himself. Illi wasn't entirely sure if it was true or not but as she stood on the ridge with the mystical lights surrounding her she had a hard time believing that it wasn't so. Illi could only think of one thing that she really wanted, she already had more than she could ever ask for, but if there was one thing that was always on the back of her mind tugging at her heart strings, it was that of her long lost son Buck. His abandonment had left a bigger impact on her than she ever thought possible, one that she just couldn't shake. More than anything she just wanted to know why. Why had Buck abandoned them? Abandoned her? The more she thought on it the more she began wishing with her whole heart for his return, if not his full return then to just see him one more time. She hated not knowing where he was at, what he was doing and whether or not he was safe, even alive. It wasn't like with her other pups that had left home, she knew where they all were, and most importantly that they were safe. Buck was on his own, alone in the wild, she couldn't protect him out there. She just wished that he would come back home, back to the pack, their family, back to her. Just as she was about to shake the thought from her head, at that point feeling as if her wish could never come true, the sound of paw steps behind her snapped her out of her daydreams. Slowly turning her head Illi peered down the mountain, to her surprise she sees the great grey form of her long lost son.
